Problem

This effort presents the existing correspondence between Bernard Berenson and Yukio Yashiro. Both of them were among the most influential art historians in the West and in Japan, respectively. Yashiro Letters Database is result of an international collaboration between three institutions closely linked with Berenson and Yashiro: Villa I Tatti – The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, Florence (founded by Berenson).
